Where to get (really) good coffee in Ericeira
There are exactly 3 good places to get really, really good coffee in Ericeira - and yes, sure, I tried them all and after every bad coffee I drank I was angry that I didn't stick to my favorites:
Dear Rose Cafe
Excellent coffee, they have some tables on the street and offer some brunch classics I never tried but they always looked nice. My go-to was to grab a cappuccino and walk the 200m to the harbor, grab an ourico at Casa da Fernanda and then watch the surfers at Praia Pescador and enjoy the beautiful view of the old town.
Balagan
Balaban is just amazing - the food, the vibe, the decor. The cafe opens at 10am and serves Baoba coffee, which can't compete with the view and interior of this place. Located right on Praia do Sul, you can sit and see the surfers, the coastline and the beautiful decor. All earthy tones, bohemian vibe of this place. By the way: The Balabans food is also amazing.
The food is Israeli, fresh but not cheap. Perfect for a date night. You can either sit on their beautiful rooftop terrace or inside and enjoy their stylish bohemian interior. We went there often and had the chance to attend their season opening party, which was a blast!
Sunset Bamboo
This place is right on the main square in Ericeira town and serves Fabrica Coffee, which is also really good. You can either sit at one of the wooden tables outside or inside where it is a surf shop/hipster cafe. The sandwich toasts are super big and really tasty!
