The most beautiful walks in Ericeira
If you crave some activity while enjoying beautiful views of the sea, the cliffs and the vegetation be sure to go this walks.
Foz Lizandro => Sao Juliao
This tour takes around 20- 30 min one way depending if you choose to walk close to the cliffs or prefer to walk a bit more inwards. In order to start at foz lizandro, where you can park your car, you need to cross the the small river and clim up the rocks. From there just walk straight, until you pass a really small village of white/ blue houses and see the next beach which is Sao Juliao, one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal. There you can walk down some steps and enjoy the stillness and emptiness of this impressive location. When you return back to Fox de Lizandro, you can reward yourself with a drink at Indigo.
Ribeira d’ilhas => Coxos
The second tour (30 min one way) combines the two most famous waves in the Ericeira region. Ribeira d’ilhas is one of the most dangerous waves and location of surf events of the wold surf league. From there you can walk by the coastline to Coxos, which is another (very nasty and dangerous) wave. During this tour you walk on the cliffs and enjoy the beautiful views.
